My process of creating photographs involves sharing time and space with someone, and often a kind of adventure. Since 2002 I have been exploring Louisville, Kentucky as a richly photographic environment, and continue to develop a body of work based on growing connections to the area. I enjoy recording people who inspire me in spaces we discover together, or in their own familiar environments. I am often drawn to places that have a delicate existence in regards to the elements, or urban development and destruction. These images show that incredibly striking or inspiring surroundings can be created anywhere if you look intently, not just in typical picturesque landscapes.
